As planned, strawberry flavoured cheese red velvet cupcakes. Take two.
I saw a video online with a lady icing a cake, and she could not stop licking her fingers while putting ganache on the cake.
Well, I do understand that it is hard to resist tasting such goodness, especially when it involves cream cheese frosting like this here, but licking your fingers is a no-no.
That's why I Use a spoon for every time I taste the frosting, end run out of clean spoons and almost out of icing too!
Fifi, the little screaming princess (my daughter) kept interrupting me, and in my lack of concentration I had managed to overfill my cupcakes cases. And to my shock instead of cupcakes I had red velvet muffins!! Oh no!
Cutting muffing topped cupcakes does not make cupcakes! Of course I had to bake a second batch. Lucky it is a quick recipe.
And these babies lined up to be decorated.
I am practicing my rose piping, getting there. The nozzle I'm using is not great, I wouln't mind getting some Wilton nozzles. Will get it eventually.
Let's get back to this frosting; strawberry pink flavoured creem cheese, to wich I have added a dash of pink, and some vanilla essence. It was deliciously pink and smooth! Lucky some of the cupcakes made their way to a friend of mine, whose birthday is today, otherwise I would give in to pinkness cheesyness goodness, nom nom.
